Club Championship:

For 2013 the Open club champion will be decided across three competition days held during the year with dates to be decided by the Management Committee.  It will be open to open age surfers who in the opinion of the Contest Committee have the necessary skill to compete at this level. The top 4 ranked Juniors from the previous year (2012) will also automatically be included along with other invited participants as chosen by the Contest Committee.

The Club championship rounds are to be held on a Saturday or Sunday with one event to be held within each of the following months / timeframes; Event 1- January / February, Event 2 – April to June, Event 3 – September to Mid October, prior to Straddie Assault. Championship Points will be awarded based on placings across each round as per Standard club round rules, with the Open Club Champion for 2013 being the surfer with  the highest cumulative number of points across 2 of the 3 rounds (ie best 2 results from the 3 events), regardless of whether that surfer has surfed all 3 rounds or not.

Should two or more surfers be in equal first position after the 3 rounds then a 20 minute final heat will be held on the day at the end of the 3rd round, with those equal leaders to surf under normal club round rules to determine the overall Club Champion for 2013.
